PALM HARBOR, FL – August 19, 2025 – St. Mark Village, an award-winning continuing care retirement community in Pinellas County, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Gaugler as the new Wellness Program Manager.

We look forward to the next chapter of success under his guidance.”
Gaugler, a Penn State University graduate with a degree in exercise science, brings extensive experience in both clinical and business settings. He has developed specialized exercise protocols for a variety of needs, including low and high-impact training, balance support, and strength-focused classes. In addition, Gaugler owned and operated a sports performance business where he worked with athletes across all levels, including seniors and an Olympic-level competitor.
“I’m passionate about helping others increase their strength and confidence,” said Gaugler. “Fitness is about more than just physical health—it’s about empowering people to live their best lives. I’m excited to bring that energy to the residents of St. Mark Village.”
Launched in January 2023, St. Mark Village’s Wellness Matters program has become a vital part of the community’s culture. The program officially began with the opening of the Village Wellness Studio, with long-time team member Dee Isguzar playing a key role in its inception. Since then, the community has shared several resources on wellness, including blogs and a free downloadable guide titled “Enhancing Life Through Senior Living: Discover the Wellness Matters Program at St. Mark Village.” The guide is available on the community’s newly relaunched website.
To further introduce the program, Gaugler will host a “Lunch & Learn” event for prospective residents and their families on Friday, September 26th. Attendees will learn about the Wellness Matters program and have the opportunity to tour the community afterward. The event begins with registration and lunch at 11:30 a.m., followed by the presentation at 12:00 p.m. RSVP is encouraged to reserve a seat.
