PALM HARBOR, FL – [May 28, 2026] – St. Mark Village, a nonprofit Life Care community in Palm Harbor, is pleased to announce that its satellite location, Highland Lakes Assisted Living, has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best Assisted Living Communities for 2026.

Community photoThe recognition is part of the publication’s annual Best Senior Living ratings, which evaluate senior living communities across the country based on resident and family survey responses and other data related to satisfaction and experience.

Highland Lakes Assisted Living, located at 880 Highlands Boulevard, was recognized for its commitment to providing assisted living services and resident-centered support for older adults. While St. Mark Village operates as a life care community, Highland Lakes Assisted Living is open to members of the greater community who need assisted living support, without requiring a life care contract.

“We are proud to receive this recognition from U.S. News & World Report,” said Vice President of Healthcare Services Randall Rees. “This accolade reflects the excellent and person-centered care our team is committed to providing each day to the residents and families we serve.”

The U.S. News Best Senior Living ratings are designed to help older adults and their families make informed decisions about senior living options by evaluating categories such as caregiving, activities and enrichment, management and staff, food and dining, and overall resident satisfaction.

Other accolades Highland Lakes Assisted Living has earned include the Holleran Choice Community for Resident Satisfaction Seal and the World’s Best Culture Award in 2025.
